Following the management tenet of Accident Prevention, Regulation Compliance, Environmental Protection, and Continuous Improvement, we constantly refine the environmental management system, optimize product design and production techniques, and explore new approaches for the comprehensive utilization of resources and energy. We endeavor to implement a green, low-carbon model for production and operation.

Climate Change Response
Bloomage Biotech actively pursues the development path of green manufacturing, reduces reliance on natural resources and chemicals, and continuously cuts resource consumption and greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. While reducing its own emissions, we strive to deliver green manufacturing solutions to contribute to the dual carbon goals and sustainable development.
 
The Company recognizes the necessity and urgency of climate change response. We proactively identify the potential impacts and risks of climate change across all aspects of operations, and promote the effective implementation of initiatives including climate change response, energy conservation and emission reduction through a top-down ESG management mechanism.
 
Bloomage Biotech attaches great importance to carbon emission management at both organizational and product levels. For consecutive years, we have conducted GHG inventories for all production bases in China in accordance with the ISO 14064 standard, and extended the scope to Scope 3 carbon emission verification, with verification statements issued by reputable certification bodies. At the product level, we carry out life cycle assessment (LCA) of environmental impacts for multiple product categories, systematically calculate key indicators such as product carbon footprint, resource consumption and water consumption, and commission authoritative certification bodies for verification. Relevant results have obtained verification statements in compliance with ISO 14040, ISO 14071, ISO 14064 and ISO 14067 standards.
 
Fully aware of the urgency and necessity of accelerating low-carbon transition, the Company sets 2023 as the base year, and targets a 50% reduction in total Group carbon emissions (Scope 1+2) from the 2023 level by 2030. We will strive to implement emission reduction measures in a scientific and efficient manner within our capacity.

Energy & Resource Utilization Optimization
Bloomage Biotech continuously strengthens routine management of resource utilization, implements the reduction, reuse and recycling of resource consumption in every operational detail, comprehensively improves resource efficiency, and leverages our innovation strengths to advance circular resource use and the rollout of green alternative solutions.
 

Our Actions

  • We achieve energy saving, pollution reduction and consumption lowering through source substitution and process optimization, so as to reduce the adverse environmental impact of the full product life cycle.
  • We actively develop and utilize clean energy. On the basis of existing distributed photovoltaic (PV) and biogas power generation facilities, the Company has built new renewable energy facilities such as biomass boilers, and introduced purchased renewable electricity (wind power) and biomass heat to increase the proportion of renewable energy use.
  • We prioritize water resource management, adopt water-saving equipment and optimized processes to realize recycling, improve water metering, replace outdated facilities in a timely manner and eliminate water leakage and wastage to ensure efficient water use.

Packaging & Waste Management Optimization
Bloomage Biotech adheres to the high-quality development philosophy of green and low-carbon growth, and focuses on packaging reduction and lightweighting across packaging design, material transportation, production and packaging procurement, so as to reduce the environmental and health impacts of packaging.
 

(1) Optimized Packaging Management

Bloomage Biotech actively practices the circular economy concept. Following the strategies of lightweighting, substitution and circularity, we reduce pollution and waste from the design source, increase the use of sustainable raw materials, and recycle packaging materials at the end of product use to promote resource circulation.
  • Reduction: Cut the usage of materials to reduce resource consumption at the source.
  • Lightweighting: Reduce packaging weight by adopting lightweight materials and innovative designs.
  • Circularity: Promote the circular use of packaging, and realize closed-loop management and maximum utilization of resources through recycling of waste packaging materials.
Bloomage Biotech has obtained FSC-CoC (Forest Stewardship Council Chain of Custody) certification, and is qualified to procure FSC-certified packaging materials. Over 95% of the purchased paper outer packaging for functional skincare products holds FSC certification.
