Shi Haining
Chief Scientist of Nutritional Science; General Manager, Nutrition Innovation Research Center
Dr. Shi Haining holds a Ph.D. from McGill University (Canada) and completed postdoctoral research at Harvard University. He is a researcher at the Mucosal Immunology and Biology Research Center, Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH), Harvard University, and served as Deputy Director and Director of the Genomics and Cell Biology Core at the Harvard University Nutrition Obesity Research Center. He is also a professor at the University of Massachusetts.
Dr. Shi’s research focuses on intestinal immune homeostasis and metabolic axis mechanisms, including: (1) regulation of infection-immune tolerance; (2) communication between microbiota and immune development; (3) translational applications of metabolic-immune interactions in chronic inflammatory diseases; and (4) mechanisms of maternal and infant immune imprinting. He has published over 100 papers in internationally renowned journals including J Immunol, Mucosal Immunol, Science, Nature, Cell, Nature Medicine, J Exp Med, Gastroenterology, and Gut Microbes. He has served as a reviewer or editor for several international journals and as an expert reviewer for the National Institutes of Health (NIH), Broad Medical Research Program, and Charles H. Hood Foundation.
Dr. Shi joined Bloomage Biotech in September 2023 and currently serves as Chief Scientist of Nutritional Science and General Manager of the Nutritional Innovation Research Center.
